Narrative Therapy

We all have many stories about ourselves and others. Some of those stories leave us feeling well, hopeful, and engaged. When problems or concerns appear in our lives, they can take over our stories and leave us feeling troubled about who we are, or what we are experiencing. This can be a difficult place to be, and it can seem like there is something wrong with us, or that problems are taking up all or most of our energy.

Together we explore the problems or concerns showing up and consider how they are impacting you or your relationships, as well as what is shaping and influencing them. This includes identifying the wider social context, norms, and assumptions that tell us who we are and what we should be. We consider these in light of your expertise and preferences, so that you can identify possibilities for addressing these problems or concerns, and re-author your stories in ways that align with your values and what matters to you.
